The Role

Due to an increased number of projects within our Pharmaceutical Sciences department we have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior QC Analytical Scientist to join our team.

You will be responsible for generating CMC, stability, and quality control release data to support drug product release into the clinic for each project that you are involved in. This will include completing all paperwork associated with the project from a QC perspective, generation of drug product specifications, C of As and assisting with laboratory investigations as required. Work will be performed to strict and tight deadlines and to a high quality of GMP.

This role will also have line management responsibilities and will involve mentoring and supporting a minimum of two analysts.

In this role you may also have direct interactions with colleagues and peers in client organisations to ensure that projects are completed to agreed timelines and standards. Therefore, effective oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and attention to detail are important.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a Degree level qualification in Chemistry and a minimum of three years work experience in a Pharmaceutical Analysis role. You will also have a good knowledge of HPLC and dissolution methodologies and line management/supervision experience.

You should be reliable, enthusiastic, and self-motivated as well as having excellent communication skills both written and verbally. Strong IT skills and experience of completing documentation with a high degree of accuracy is also a must.
