The Role

  • Primary responsibility for overseeing the supply chain management function in connection with sourcing, warehousing / inventory, and dispensing of raw materials and finished product, and production scheduling for our early development and commercial manufacturing businesses
  • Responsible for developing procurement, sourcing, and warehousing strategies to ensure the functions are performed in a manner consistent with Quotient Sciences business objectives and that comply with contractual agreements, required laws and relevant regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and Good Import/Export Practices
  • Advise senior leadership on short and long-term actions to mitigate supply chain risks and to ensure planning needs of the business are met

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Liase with internal and external customers to support short-term and long-term product forecasts. Be on top of changing demands to optimize and maximize manufacturing resource utilization and productivity
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year master plan, including budgeting for labor, raw materials, consumables, freight, and capital expenditures
  • Implement and maintain customer-oriented supply chain programs for a CDMO to maximize customer satisfaction, while optimizing cost effectiveness and inventory levels
  • Actively participate in internal sales and operations planning (S&OP) meetings and ensure the site can deliver on established plans
  • Plan, manage and coordinate activities related to material and supply sourcing with procurement and warehouse teams to meet the product demand at all times and ensure a supply chain without constraints
  • In association with Procurement, develop and oversee strategic partnerships of critical suppliers
  • As part of the company’s Quality System, maintain and continuously improve the supply chain quality system processes and procedures that integrate risk management and ensure applicable regulatory requirements are met and industry best practices adopted; drives department compliance with all applicable global policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the data integrity, management and communication of all supply related plans and schedules across the site and with other sites, as applicable,
  • Support company’s and customer’s import / export activities 
  • Establish/optimize supply chain processes and measure performance through KPIs
  • Work across internal functions to communicate the timelines to achieve 100% on time in full (OTIF) and minimize start times
  • Develop, mentor and manage employees within the supply chain functional area in support of site objectives
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for any process improvements, troubleshooting, investigations related to supply chain
  • Support customer and regulatory audits
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to facilitate a successful customer experience

 Additional tasks/responsibilities        

  •  Ensure quality, on time delivery, inventory, and cost improvement targets for supply chain are met, serving as the escalation point for both customer and supplier issues, including those issues that may affect the on-time and cost-effective supply of product
  • Develop and sustain customer relationships through direct interaction, responsiveness, and accountability. Maintain open communication with customers using appropriate tools as necessary
  • Ensure safe working environment and compliance with current international, federal, state and local regulations within the supply chain functional area.
  • Remains current in profession and industry trends
  • Establishes an environment that fosters diversity and encourages teamwork
  • Perform other duties as assigned


The Candidate 

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field, with at least 5-10 years of progressively increasing managerial experience in pharmaceutical supply chain.
  • American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and/or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification a strong advantage
  • Proven track record in global supply chain management, including managing suppliers. Contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) operations experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ERP and MRP systems a strong advantage
  • Experience and knowledge of GMP and GDP
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (presentation, written, and verbal) with ability to influence effectively at all levels within the organization
