Data Sciences at Quotient Sciences comprises six departments (including Statistical Programming) and over 100 staff and provides an expert service in the data management, analysis and reporting of early phase clinical studies.
As a Statistical Programmer or Senior Statistical Programmer at Quotient and working as part of a team, you will be responsible for the programming/QC of SDTM/ADaM datasets and tables, listings and figures and perform data transfers to sponsors. At Quotient our early Phase studies present particular programming challenges due to their complexity (often with multiple study parts), interim analyses, protocol changes and the urgent requirement from sponsors for their key results; you will be expected to be flexible and creative in your programming skills.
The successful candidate will have a degree, experience of statistical programming (using SAS) in a clinical trial GCP environment, writing SDTM/ADaM specifications, programming/QC of datasets and/or tables, listings and figures. Additionally, experience of one of more of the following would be an advantage: generation of define-xml packages, early Phase clinical trials, CDISC PC and PP domains and the Lead Statistical Programmer role.
Training will be provided to help your further your programming skills, increase your knowledge of early Phase studies, use of industry leading software (eg Pinnacle21 Enterprise edition) and achieve a Lead role for programming tasks within Data Sciences projects teams.
Dependent on your development, our career pathway allows you to expand your programming role over time and progress to more senior roles and tasks. There are also opportunities for senior candidates to also become involved in the training/mentoring of other programmers.
Candidates with greater clinical programming experience will be considered for a more senior role.
In addition, you should have good organisational and presentation skills and be able to work to deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask are essential. Effective oral and written communication skills are also required as you will, in time, be a primary statistical programming point of contact with clients, statisticians and clinical staff. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
The role can be based in our Edinburgh or Nottingham offices (with some home working) or can be fully home based with occasional trips to an office. This is a full-time position or can be part-time (equivalent hours for 4 or 4.5 days a week).
