The Role

Due to our growth and success, we are looking for an experienced Commercial FP&A Manager to join our highly regarded Finance team. Reporting to the Director, Group Financial Planning and Analysis, this is a new role created at an exciting time as we move towards being a data led business through insights and commercial business partnering.

This role will provide financial insights that support the Global Commercial function in achieving its strategic business objectives and operational decisions. The main responsibilities will be supporting the financial and commercial strategic direction, forecasting and providing analysis for decision making.

The successful candidate will combine an analytical mindset with technical ability and excellent people skills, becoming a trusted finance partner, influencing, and facilitating business decision making.

This role can be primarily home-based, with an expectation to be on site in the Nottingham office approximately once a week.

Main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Ensure Commercial teams are provided with robust and relevant data to support decision making and strategic business planning
  • Provide key data to support all pricing/costing reviews
  • Leading annual budget processes and monthly revenue re-forecasting
  • Deep dive into financial data and become the subject matter expert to provide additional insights
  • Create data-driven insight and analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made around the sales pipeline
  • Provide commercial insight and analysis of results, identifying underlying trends and challenging the business on performance
  • Provide FP&A finance support to the accounting teams related to productivity, demand planning, reporting, and metrics in a timely manner

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to work with varied information sources and derive sound insight and make sound recommendations
  • Capability to see granular as well as big picture issues and able to cut through complexity and communicate insights in a clear and simple manner
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working in an FP&A function within a complex matrix structure
  • Creative and lateral thinking welcome
  • CIMA/ACCA qualified
  • Strong Power BI, Tableau and Excel skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines & also pay close attention to detail
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to work
  • Ability to work at pace within a complex matrix structure and an agile workplace
